RESEARCH:
When it comes to addressing social issues surrounding inequality and inequity, it is important to stay informed about what ways marginalized groups are being affected.
I researched the issues surrounding my communities such as lack of resources and funding in lower income communities, the oppression and silencing of BIPOC women, the struggles of carrying generational trauma.
COLOR PALETTE:
I implemented this color palette that I thoughts would look vibrant in contrast to the black background.
MOODBOARD:
I put together these images that capture what I wanted to implement in my artwork. Elements of portraiture, use of vibrant colors, illustration and handwritten typography.
